Volunteer With US:
There are plenty of ways to get involved and plugged into your local community! If your availability is only once a week, twice a month, a few times a year, or a few times a week, there is a place for you!
There are current volunteer opportunities with:
-Sorting donations (including misc. items and clothing)
-Unloading our food truck and stocking our market-style food pantry for the week.
-Working in our restaurant-style soup kitchen, “The Bright Morningstar Kitchen”
-Building maintenance projects: with helping keep our building and grounds beautiful.
-Serving at our new market-style food pantry, “The Bread of Life Market”
-Helping at our Monthly Food Truck stops (8 locations with 5 in Pittsfield and 3 in North Adams). These are late afternoon hours on the 2nd & 3rd Wednesday and 4th Wednesday of the month)
-Helping with our holiday events
-Helping Serve Thanksgiving meals
-Wrapping Christmas presents for those that we bless at Morningside Community School
-Neighborhood cleanup
Volunteer orientations to become part of our team, are held every few weeks, once we have a group signed up to attend.
