WHY A MOBILE FOOD PANTRY?

While serving the community for the past eight years, we became aware of the need for food accessibility here in Berkshire County. The Mobile Food Pantry seeks to help meet that need by providing healthy, well balanced meal selections for local residents to enjoy and provide for their family.

The Berkshire Dream Center Mobile Food Pantry is the only mobile food pantry in the cities of Pittsfield and North Adams.

The Mobile Food Pantry distributes food to those in need on a weekly basis. We currently have eight sites between the cities of Pittsfield and North Adams that we visit once a month. As food donations and community partnerships continue to grow, we hope to adopt more sites and increase our frequency at our current locations to have a greater impact with addressing food insecurity.

There are no requirements needed to receive food from our Mobile Pantry. Those who come just need to fill out their information and choose from a list of items available that evening.

*During the winter months if the schools are cancelled and roads are in dangerous condition we will coordinate with each location on a rescheduled date for the same month!

Clothing Outreach- Clothing available to men, women, and children free of cost. Items in our clothing room include shoes, hats, gloves, coats, blankets, work clothes, socks, and general apparel.  New and gently used clothing is available along with occasional brand new clothing from retailers who donate to us.

Adopt A Block- If you would like us to visit your neighborhood and help clean up your street, please just email us for further information!

Project Connection- Project Connection seeks to connect families, community and needs by working with various agencies to support those in need of basic necessities to be reunited with their families. No family should be separated due to lack of resources, we are striving to change that!

Diapers- We are partnered with Berkshire Community Diaper Project to provide diapers to anyone who walks through our doors and is in need of a blessing for their little one!

Adult Education Program- Adults who need help learning to read, write or work on other skills are welcome to come in weekly for this program. Computers are available on site for training, as part of this program.

Kidz Dream Zone- Every Sunday our church service meets at 10:30am. A full children's church program is available for ages 3-10 years old. Free coffee is always served between 10:15-10:30am. We would love to have you join us! Come as you are. Jesus accepts you just the way that you are, and so do we.

Bible Studies, Grief Group, Small Groups (men's & women's)-Small groups are a great way to connect and get to know other believers while cultivating a strong relationship with God. We encourage everyone to get plugged in and start growing in your faith today! For more information please click HERE.
